Apple Trees

Apple Trees

Standard size apple trees, when mature, may grow to a height of 20-25', and will usually begin to bear fruit 5-8 years after planting.
Semi-dwarf apple trees can grow to a height of only 10-15' tall when mature, and will begin to bear fruit earlier than standard size trees, generally in 3-5 years time. Semi-dwarf trees can achieve their smaller stature because they are grafted onto special dwarfing rootstocks, these rootstocks only affect the height of the tree, not the size of the apple.
